Meek Mill Donates 6,000 Backpacks with Supplies to Philly Students

Meek Mill showed up at his alma mater, James G Blaine Elementary, and announced that he’s donating 6,000 backpacks with supplies to students in Philly.

He stated, “Growing up in Philly, I’ve watched families struggle to make ends meet and buy basic school supplies for their kids. Those memories stay with me and that’s why I’m committed to giving back to families in my hometown, putting smiles on kids’ faces and helping them start the school year on the right note with the right supplies.”

Over the past five years, Meek Mill and his Dream Chasers crew have been giving back to his hometown with charitable drives, including giving away turkeys on Thanksgiving. Meek is also getting involved with a “major foundation” that will focus on criminal justice reform, according to 76ers owner Michael Rubin.

The Enemy of my Enemy? Kendrick Lamar Disses DRAKE -AGAIN!

chris-farley

Just in case you hadn’t had your fill of Drakenews lately, apparently famed rapper Kendrick Lamar is taking shots at the OVO frontman on Dr. Dre’s early released album Compton: A Soundtrack by Dr. Dre. Lamar is rumored to be throwing shade due to his suspicious verses on the tracks “Darkside/Gone” and Deep Water,” in which he mentions the number “6,” beef, and even refers to himself as the great white shark who senses blood. Not to mention, Kendrick may have already directed some punches Drizzy’s way on his track “King Kunta.” Check out some excerpts below and see what you think.
“Darkside/Gone”
“You scared of my heist now/But still I got enemies giving me energy/I wanna fight now/Subliminals sending me all of this hate/I thought I was holding the mic down.”

“Deep Water”
“They liable to bury him/They nominated six to carry him/They worry him to death but he no vegetarian/The beef is on his breath inheritin’ the drama better than a Great White/N*gga, this is life in my aquarium!”

“Feel’s like you’re drowning, don’t you?/About a hundred miles down in that ocean/It’s over, shoulda never jumped in/If you can’t swim (if you can’t swim, if you can’t swim)/Oh my God, where’s a life guard when you need one?”
“Motherf*cker know I started from the bottom.”

My girl ain’t ever told me get my bars up
But I know she told you nicca go and make your bars yours
How you claim you great when you ain’t wrote a bar since Pac walked?
This is art class and nicca get back to the drawing board,
Someone tell this nicca he way out of his depth
Iif you fucking with Meek Milly you better watch where you step
Because I’ll bomb on a nicca man shout out my nicca flex
I heard you pay for the puzzy does Quentin Miller pay your checks?
You a fraud nicca, broad nicca, your whole life a facade nicca
Talking bout star struck didn’t Rih have you in awe of her?
I’m only being honest, Meek Milly can’t do nothing else
I’m dealing with the cards they dealt and look they dealt me a joker,
Remember in the club you threw a bottle a Chris
And ducked into the bathroom when you saw his chin get split?
You a bitch, you ain’t made for this nicca sit down
And watch your back, but that ain’t hard, your eyes so far apart
They see all round, that’s 360, Meek Milly 360, that’s worldwide
From Philly to every city, don’t ever get to thinking I don’t pillow talk with Nicki
She told me all about how you so thirsty for the kitty
How you like two fingers up the back, no hippy

The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week based on multi-metric consumption, which includes traditional album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA).

Meek Mill’s last album, 2012’s Dreams and Nightmares, debuted and peaked in the No. 2 slot with 165,000 sold in its first week, according to Nielsen Music. The album’s latest single — “All Eyes on You,” featuring girlfriend Nicki Minaj and Chris Brown — debuts at No. 81 on the Billboard Hot 100 dated July 11. The trio performed the song on Sunday’s BET Awards.

Other albums set for high debuts on next week’s chart include Miguel’s Wildheart, X Ambassadors’ VHS and August Burns Red’s Found in Far Away Places.

One can only ask, is this the Nicki Minaj influence or is Meek really that hot?
