DMX received a tongue lashing and a heavy handed warning as the judge presiding over his tax evasion case confronted him for his irresponsible behavior while out on bail. However, he got to go home despite having failed several drug tests over the past month.
Judge Jed Rakoff had apparently had enough with the 46-year-old Yonkers rapper prior to his late arriving at a bail hearing at Manhattan Federal Court on Friday, August 11. It had been a mere one day since news got out that X recently broke the terms of his bond arrangement by leaving the state to visit family in St. Louis, and he was already sparing the rapper from having to pay some pretty serious repercussions for a different violation. According to Rakoff, DMX has tested positive for cocaine, marijuana, and opiates on four occasions in less than four weeks.
Attorney Murray Richman went to bat for his client, by reminding the judge that Simmons has a problem with substance abuse, but Rakoff reportedly wasn’t having it, firing back, “It sounds like total self-denial.” In response to the infraction, Rakoff ordered X to serve house arrest with an electronic bracelet on his ankle and warned that “it will be the end of his career and the end of living a decent life,” if the rapper jumps bail.
Before dismissing DMX, Judge Rakoff turned his focus solely on Richman, saying, ”The lesson he seems to have learned over the last few weeks is Murray Richman will always get him off.”
2017 won’t be as easy as Plies set out for it to be, as it is reported that his driver’s license has been suspended for 1 year.
The Fort Myers rapper faces charges in connection with a January arrest for DUI. A dash cam recording of him being detained recently surfaced to show Plies complying with police as they went into his pockets and he confided in having been in possession of a registered fire arm. The footage was taken moments after officers cited the rapper zooming in the wrong direction down a one-way street.
It remains to be seen how Plies will adapt to being without a ride, as the driver’s seat is what has coincidentally helped him drive his marketing. Followers on Instagram have come to acquaint the chatty Floridian with his regular posting of witty videos from behind the wheel.
The state’s decision to revoke the rapper’s license comes as a formality which establishes that citizens automatically forfeit their driving privileges when they refuse breath, urine or blood testing for alcohol. Plies reportedly turned down a Breathalyzer test during his arrest.
Soulja Boy is now facing a felony for the guns police found in his house during his December arrest.
The L.A. County D.A. just slapped him with 2 felonies — possession of an assault weapon and being a felon in possession of a firearm. He was also charged with a misdemeanor for receiving stolen property … cops say one of the guns in Soulja’s house was reportedly stolen from a cop car.
The assault weapon charge is for a Mini Draco AR-15 … which is illegal for anyone to possess in California.
If convicted Soulja could face more than 4 years in prison.
Kodak Black just cant catch a break! The talented Florida rapper was supposed to get out of Jail last week, but with some many pending charges the judge changed his mind.
Now its only getting worse. Kodak’s camp told us he is being sent to South Carolina jail now because he is being charged sexual assault by some under age girls. Lets pray for Kodak! This is the 13th thing he has been charged with this year!
