Camila Cabello leaves Fifth Harmony

Camila Cabello has left Fifth Harmony, the group announced in a note on Twitter late Sunday night.

Camila Cabello leaves Fifth Harmony

Though 5H did not cite a reason for her departure, they wrote, “After 4 and a half years of being together, we have been informed via her representative, that Camila has decided to leave Fifth Harmony. We wish her well.”

The note continued: “You Harmonizers have been there with us since the beginning, you’ve supported us, you’ve rejoiced and cried with us, you’ve grown with us, and with your love and support, we will continue on.”

They also wrote that the group will continue on as a foursome, though the current members —Ally Brooke, Dinah Jane Hansen, Lauren Jauregui, and Normani Kordei — will also work on their “solo endeavors.”

Just hours before the announcement, Cabello performed with 5H at the iHeartRadio Jingle Ball tour in Florida.

Fifth Harmony formed in 2012 during the second season of The X Factor USA, after all five of the members auditioned as soloists. As a quintet, they put out two albums, 2015’s Reflection and this year’s 7/27, and an EP, 2013’s Better Together.

But during their time as a group, Cabello was also putting out solo music with other artists. Last year, she and Shawn Mendes debuted “I Know What You Did Last Summer,” which went platinum, and most recently, she and rapper Machine Gun Kelly released “Bad Things,” which hit No. 10 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Fifth Harmony hit it big this year with “Work From Home,” the lead single off 7/27 (and EW’s second favorite song of the year). It was their highest-charting single yet, peaking at No. 4 on the Hot 100 in June.

The lawsuit seeks unspecified damages for defamation and names both the site, MediaTakeout, and its founder, Fred Mwangaguhunga.
The star was tied up by gun-wielding robbers who broke into a Paris flat earlier this month, police say.
They made off with jewellery worth about $10million.

The lawsuit filed in federal court in New York said that after being “the victim of a horrific and traumatic armed robbery in France, Kim Kardashian returned to the US only to again be victimised, but this time by an online gossip tabloid that published a series of articles in early October 2016 referring to her as a liar and thief”.

The articles, it said, “claimed, without any factual support whatsoever, that Kardashian faked the robbery, lied about the violent assault, and then filed a fraudulent claim with her insurance company to bilk her carrier out of millions of dollars”.

Mr Mwangaguhunga refused to publish a retraction and an apology “for calling her a liar and a criminal”, the lawsuit added. MediaTakeout has so far not commented.
The 35-year-old mother-of-two, who is married to rapper Kanye West, became a household name thanks to the reality TV series Keeping up with the Kardashians.

Lawsuit Filed Against Fetty Wap

Rapper Fetty Wap is reportedly being sued by a Danish songwriter for beats used in “Trap Queen,” according to TMZ.

Lawsuit Filed Against Fetty Wap

Lazar Lakic claims in his lawsuit that he bought exclusive rights to “Hello” from producer Tony Fadd. Those beats then showed up as a sample in Fetty Wap’s April 2014 single from his self-titled debut album.

The songwriter said in the suit that Fadd tried to buy back the beats in January 2015 but Lakic refused to do so, according to TMZ. Lakic says he never got a dime for “Trap Queen,” which spent 12 weeks on the Billboard Top 10 and was nominated for two Grammy awards in February.

Lawsuit Filed Against Fetty Wap

Fetty Wap’s lawyer, Navarro Gray, told TMZ that the rapper legally bought the rights to “Hello.” Lakic is reportedly suing for profits and wants all copies of the song destroyed and sales stopped.
