Joe Jackson, musical family patriarch, dead at 89

Joseph “Joe” Jackson, the patriarch who launched the musical Jackson family dynasty, died Wednesday at a Las Vegas hospital, a source close to the family tells CNN. He was 89.

Jackson was the father of and at times manager to pop stars Michael and Janet Jackson, along with the sibling singing group, The Jackson 5.

No cause of death has been released, but Jackson had reportedly been in ill health.

“I have seen more sunsets than I have left to see,” read a tweet posted Sunday from Jackson’s official Twitter account. “The sun rises when the time comes and whether you like it or not the sun sets when the time comes.”

His daughter, La Toya Jackson, tweeted about her father Wednesday.

“I will always love you! You gave us strength, you made us one of the most famous families in the world,” she wrote on her official Twitter account. “I am extremely appreciative of that, I will never forget our moments together and how you told me how much you cared. #RIP Joe Jackson.”

Some of Jackson’s grandchildren also paid tribute on social media, writing that he “made everything possible.”

Police Investigating Dead Body Found at the Home of Giants’ Janoris Jenkins

Police are currently investigating a dead body found at the New Jersey home of Giants baller Janoris Jenkins. According to TMZ, who broke the story, the body is a man, but it’s not Jenkins. Police are planning on releasing the identity once his next of kin is notified.

The body was reportedly found in the basement of the house by a someone who worked at Janoris’ home. One source revealed that Janoris has been in Florida and was not home when the incident took place.

Lil Yachty decided to give the X fans in Atlanta a space to mourn the late rapper during the service he organized at Centennial Park in the A.

Yachty spoke to the crowd of fans that packed Centennial Park telling them, “Anybody who know me who know my music then they know I’ve been preaching positivity. And that’s what I’ma do, I’ma hold that legacy for X and gon’ keep promoting this positivity,” adding “All that hate, all that envy, all that bullsh*t. We gotta leave that shit in the past. Life is too short.”

More Details Surface in Jim Jones Arrest

Additional details have surfaced in regards to Jim Jones’ arrest. According to Fox News, Jones was a passenger in a vehicle that led police on a short chase.

Fox spoke exclusively with the deputy that made the stop. The deputy said he noticed the car swerving prior to stopping the vehicle. He revealed that Jones was in the back seat of the car.

The deputy also noticed a strong smell or marijuana — furthermore, the entire car “appeared to be filled with smoke”. Fox News reports that three of the four are still in jail (as a result of the incident). Jones is the only one bonded out.

Richard “Old Man” Harrison of ‘Pawn Stars’ Passes Away at 77

Richard Harrison—also known as the “Old Man” on the show ‘Pawn Stars has passed away. He passed away early Monday morning after succumbing to Parkinson’s Disease according to Rick Harrison, his son.

Harrison’s son issued a statement saying “The Old Man’ Harrison passed away this morning surrounded by those he loved. He will be tremendously missed by our family, the team at Gold & Silver Pawn and his many fans the world over. He was my hero, and I was fortunate to get a very cool ‘Old Man’ as my dad.”

A rep for the History Channel said “We are deeply saddened by the loss of our friend Richard ‘The Old Man’ Harrison, a beloved member of the HISTORY and ‘Pawn Stars’ family. He will be greatly missed for his wisdom and candor.”

Loved ones and fans of XXXTentacion will say their final goodbyes soon. Recently it was announced that the late rapper will be having a public funeral. Page Six reports that it will be an open-casket viewing.

The funeral will take place on June 27th from 12-6 p.m. at Florida Panthers Stadium — which holds 20,000 seats. According to attorney J. David Bogenschutz, cell phones and video cameras won’t be allowed ta the event. Violators will be escorted out of the stadium.
