Will Smith Addresses Jada Pinkett Divorce Rumors in New Song

Will Smith is back in the booth and addressing some longstanding rumors about his marriage to wife Jada Pinkett Smith.

On Wednesday, the 49-year-old actor — who began his career as a rapper under the name The Fresh Prince — dropped a video that teased “new music” was “coming soon,” along with a sample track called “To the Clique.”

In the tune, Smith is as confident as ever about his 25-plus years of success in the entertainment industry and the strength of his marriage, despite tabloid speculation that he and Pinkett Smith might be heading for splitsville.

“Stop the divorce rumors and mind your damn business,” he sings, later boasting about the strength of their family (including kids Trey, 25, Jaden, 19, and Willow, 17). “The real-life Incredibles, last name Smith. Jada, Jaden, Willow, Trey — y’all ain’t f—ing with my clique.”

“To the Clique” comes more than 13 years after Smith’s last album (2005’s Lost and Found), which featured the hit single “Switch.”

“At my peak, I was doing a television show, a movie, and an album every year,” Smith explained in his video. “It was like, churning out that kind of creativity.”

“What happens is you get to a point where you get empty,” he continued. “So I’m excited. I’m reenergized and I’m creating wildly like I used to. I’m ready. I got the beast back.”

The release also comes amid news that Smith will be performing at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia, joining Nicky Jam and Era Istrefi on the event’s official song “Live It Up” (produced by DJ and songwriter Diplo).

“It’s an honor to be asked to perform at the 2018 FIFA World Cup,” Smith said in FIFA’s release. “This global event brings people from all over the world together to cheer, laugh and experience magic. Collaborating with Nicky, Diplo and Era on this track represents harmony, eclectic flavors and genres coming together. At the end of the day, we just want to see the world dance.”

Meanwhile, in a recent episode of her new Facebook Watch show Red Table Talk, Pinkett Smith spoke about how supportive her husband has been in their marriage after she suffered an emotional breakdown.

“Will had always told me to put myself first, and I had never really understood what that meant,” Pinkett Smith said, after admitting that she had “withered, curled up in a ball about to die” when she realized she had lost touch with herself.

“I think when I got more understanding about it, and he got more understanding about what that meant, it took a lot of communication,” she added. “At the end of the day, Will is extremely supportive of giving me what I need.”

Ray J And Princess Love Welcome Baby Girl

Ray J and wife, Princess Love, have welcomed a baby girl. They confirmed the news via an Instagram post that included a sweet video of the couple on their journey to becoming parents. At the end of the video, Ray J confirmed the arrival of their daughter.

Ray J And Princess Love Welcome Baby Girl

While co-hosting the daytime talk show, The Real, back in November, Ray J revealed that he and Princess Love were expecting their first child.

Prior to this announcement, there had been much speculation that Princess Love and he were expecting. The couple were married in August 2016 and detailed their personal struggles with fertility on the fourth season of Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood.

Ray J spoke about how the two of them had been trying for awhile and had a hard time conceiving at first. He revealed that they don’t know exactly when it happened but that it was so special when they found out. He spoke about how it’s not as easy as people tend to think. That some can “go on tour and get everybody pregnant” where that didn’t happen for the two of them.

Multiple celebrity couples have opened up about their battles with infertility lately and their transparency can help to provide context for so many who are struggling with the same thing that may feel all alone or as if they don’t have an outlet.

Before knowing the gender of the baby, Ray J admitted that he did want a little girl first because he wanted the father/daughter relationship of having a “daddy’s girl.” He thought that a boy would be a “little more aggressive” and he just wanted a bit of peace the first time around.

This is a bit of an archaic notion of how babies and children act based on gender. Little girls can be fiery balls of sass and energy in equal parts to their brothers or male cousins.

At this time, the name of their new baby girl has not been released.

Beyonce Buys $800,000 Church in New Orleans

According to reports, Beyonce recently purchased a rather large church in New Orleans. The church is said to be about 7,500 square feet. Although it is unclear how much she actually paid, the facility was listed at $850,000.

The church was reportedly built in the early 1900s. It has not been in use in recent years due to a number of it’s members passing away. Her plans for the building are not yet known but it can potentially facilitate single and multi-family apartment homes or be renovated and kept as a church.

Beyonce’s sister Solange and her husband reportedly live near the church. The purchase kicks off what will be a busy summer For Queen Bey. She’d also heading out on the On The Run II tour along with husband Jay-Z.

It’s been reported that Destiny’s Child will also be joining her on tour. She definitely gives her fans their money’s worth when she hits the stage stage. So I f you can’t make it to the “church of Beyonce,” I imagine a concert is the next best thing.

Meek Mill Makes His Return to the Stage at Rolling Loud Festival

In November 2017, Meek Mill was sentenced to two-to-four years in prison after violating parole on petty criminal charges, and after months of protests, petitions, and multiple appeals by the MMG rapper’s legal team, Meek was released from prison last month.

And ever since his release, the Philadelphia-born and raised hip-hop artist has been on a media tour speaking about his experience in prison, how he’s grown as an individual, and how his story can spark prison and judicial reform so that unheard voices don’t become a cog in the prison industrial complex.

Now, Meek Mill has finally returned to the stage for the first time since his release as a surprise guest at this year’s Rolling Loud music festival in Miami, Florida. Meek was introduced by none other than DJ Khaled and was met with roars and gratitude from the crowd.

Meek then went on to perform hits like “On The Regular” and “Litty” alongside Tory Lanez, but also took time to address his wrongful sentencing stating the following, “They tried to take my freedom, they tried to crush my dreams… But now we in Miami going the f*** up.”

Meek has become an influential pillar and somewhat of a martyr in the culture due to his faults and the corruption of the justice system, and it looks like the universe has a bigger plan for the hip-hop artist. With that said, check out Meek on the stage for the first time after being locked up.
